I’m Shannon Griffin, a midlife and alcohol-free coach dedicated to helping women restore balance, renew their vitality, and move through all phases of menopause and beyond with clarity, compassion, and steady support.
I’m a native Houstonian with a deep love for movement, nature, and healthy living. I’m most at home outdoors playing tennis, hiking, cycling, or scuba diving, but I equally cherish cozy days spent reading, cooking, or playing piano. I love animals and share my home with a small, joyful menagerie, my two standard poodles, Daisy and Lola, and George and Phoebe, the feline overseers of the household.
My passion for women’s wellness and midlife transformation began with my own experience navigating the physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts of menopause. As my body changed, I searched for guidance that was practical, compassionate, and rooted in science. Along the way, I reevaluated my relationship with alcohol initially as part of my broader wellness goals, and discovered the clarity, energy, and emotional steadiness that came from removing it. That shift became a cornerstone of my well-being and an essential thread in the work I do today.
To deepen my ability to support the whole woman—mindset, hormones, nervous system, habits, and emotional health—I earned my Diploma in Coaching & Positive Psychology through Andy Ramage’s AreteWay Coaching program, became a Certified Alcohol-Free Performance Coach, and completed my certification as a Gray Area Drinking Coach under Jolene Park.
After decades in financial services and following a meaningful life reset after my divorce in 2021, I felt called to help women navigate their own midlife transitions with the kind of grounded, steady support I once needed myself.
This is the heart of The Magnolia Method —
a gentle but powerful pathway to
Restore. Renew. Radiate.
On the outside, everything looked successful but inside, I felt overextended, disconnected from my body, and quietly exhausted.
As my hormones shifted and life accelerated, I found myself searching for answers that didn’t feel clinical or dismissive. I wanted someone to explain what was happening in a way that made sense and I wanted a plan that felt supportive, not overwhelming.
At the same time, and quite by accident, I began reevaluating my relationship with alcohol, and what started as a “small curiosity” became a major turning point. I realized removing alcohol brought more clarity than I expected and my energy returned, anxiety eased, and I started hearing, and actually listening to, my own voice again. That clarity led me to coaching — first for myself, then for others., and then over time, I realized I was meant to help women navigate the very transitions I had struggled through with steadiness, strength, and science-backed support. Eventually I created The Magnolia Method, a structured, compassionate 10-week program that integrates mindset, nutrition, movement, regulation, rest, and alcohol-free empowerment into a guided journey designed specifically for midlife women.
I’m so glad you found your way here, and if you’re ready to restore balance, renew your confidence, and build a deeply supported path through midlife…
